1. Share your story with someone. Often it helps to put the sadness into words.
2. Try to detach and unplug for a while. It’s hard to do more than the minimum right now.
3. Respect your need for space, and a period of low stress. Also, try to reduce your responsibilities.
4. Allow yourself to feel all the negative feelings. It’s counter-productive to push them down inside.
5. Take care of your body and your physical needs. This will help you to heal emotionally, too.
6. Be kind and gentle with yourself, and invest in self care. It’s important that you love, and you treat yourself well.
7. Believe that you are able to recover, and go on. Even though you might feel weak, you are capable and strong.
#1 definitely helped me the most, but all of the suggestions on this list are great!

At this point my anxiety has become so intense that it is literally physically debilitating. Absolutely cannot function. Constant feeling of fear, confusion, obligation, panic…. resulting in losing ALL control of the handle I once had on my anxiety…… literally do not know one damn thing for a fact anymore

I’m really sorry Steph. That sounds like a really difficult place to be in. Anxiety can be such a powerful emotion. I hope you are able to find someone to talk to who understands and cares.
